Women’s

Jiyu Kumite Seminar

Saturday  March 6th 2010

Shotokan Ohshima Dojo

 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM

Our third annual Women's Jiyu Kumite Seminar will be held following the Women's practice with Mr. Ohshima at the Shotokan Ohshima Dojo from  3:00pm - 6:30pm on March 7th 2009 led by Godan Greg Scott.  

 The cost is $40 but if you plan to attend Tom Muzila's Self Defense class the next day (which is also $40) both courses are $60 (a savings of $20).


We had a great turnout last year and we look forward to seeing all of you and more this year.

Kata Clinic

-- Featuring 3 SKA 5th Dan Instructors --

Shotokan of Garden Grove will host a Kata Clinic open to all SKA members age 15 and over.  A general knowledge of all Kata in a session is required to attend that specific session.  Each series will present detailed instruction as well as repetition.  Hopefully, those attending will gain beneficial knowledge to enhance their training and testing in the year(s) to come.

Session I   8:30 am  to 10:45 am

 Instructor:  Dr. David Lechuga

  All 5 Heian Kata

Session II   Noon  to  2:15 pm

 Instructor:  Mr. Kei Teramoto

  Bassai and Kwanku

Session III   3:30 pm  to  5:45 pm

Instructor:   Mr. Tom Muzila

Jion and Jutte

·      Arriving at the beginning of each session is requested but completing each is optional.

·      Proceeds go to Garden Grove Shotokan upgrades and Shotokan Ohshima Dojo.
