Next up is the amazing Kirsten Berg. We first encountered her delicate and introspective reflection art at Burning Man. One piece, titled "Drishti," particularly captured our attention. Inspired by a Sanskrit philosophical phrase, "Drishti, Srishti," it translates to "As is your vision, so is your universe" or "How you behold, is what you unfold." "Drishti" serves as a sculptural expression and reflective symbol, urging us to focus and activate our collective gaze towards a more elevated vision as co-creators of our individual and shared realities in this critical point in history.Kirsten is known for reflective, large-scale sculptural installations of acrylic and steel. Blending Western innovation with Eastern philosophy inspired by her 20 years in Southeast Asia. Her projects seamlessly integrate with their surroundings, blurring the boundaries between viewer and object, personal and collective perspectives. Berg's work has garnered international attention, featured in prestigious venues like the Museum of Modern Art and exhibited at events such as Singapore Art Week and Burning Man. With a background in Classics/Archaeology, Berg now resides in California after her time in India and Southeast Asia.

For our second Women’s History Month Spotlight, we're delighted to showcase the incredible ORLUarts who embodies sunshine in human form. 🌞Liv's innovative approach to mural installation involves using specialized mural paint on a synthetic canvas-like material, allowing her to create the mural in sections within her studio. Once each section is perfected, it's affixed to the wall using a robust adhesive, and the entire masterpiece is fortified with a triple-seal of UV and graffiti protectant. This meticulous process ensures that the mural, embedded within parachute cloth, seamlessly integrates with the wall's texture, becoming a permanent fixture that withstands peeling and fading, thus extending its lifespan by decades. Here's a deeper dive into ORLUarts and the origin of her name: Olivia Rose Losee-Unger, O-R-L-U-arts, is a talented muralist based in the Bay Area. With years of professional experience under her belt, Liv specializes in crafting vibrant and diverse murals that celebrate community, pay homage to the environment, and evoke pure joy.
